Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, September 30, 2014 – Dr. Richard Meli, Healthcare Performance Companies’ Chief Executive Officer, was named as a Power Leader in Healthcare by South Florida Business Journal September 26th edition. This is the 4th straight year Dr. Meli has received this recognition since the list’s inception in 2011.
Dr. Meli is a board certified anesthesiologist, co-founder & CEO of Healthcare Performance Companies and a prominent entrepreneur. In 1998, he co-founded Anesco North Broward (ANB), a highly respected physician owned anesthesiology group serving Broward Health. Since then, under Dr. Meli’s leadership, the company has grown to include Healthcare Performance Strategies, an anesthesia/O.R. consulting company, Healthcare Performance-Sleep, a sleep lab management company, and Anesco Interventional Pain Institute, an interventional pain practice. Dr. Meli was formerly the Chief of Anesthesiology for North Ridge Medical Center in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He has been involved in numerous mergers and acquisitions within healthcare and other industries. He has a BS from Florida State University, and received his MD degree from the University of Miami.
