HP-Anesco Announces New Chief of Anesthesia

Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, August 20, 2013: Healthcare Performance Anesco (HP-Anesco) is pleased to announce that Manuel Longo, MD has been named Chief of Anesthesia at Broward Health Imperial Point.
Dr. Longo has practiced anesthesiology and pain medicine for HP-Anesco since 2002. Prior to this new role, Dr. Longo was the Director of the Ambulatory Surgery Center at Broward Health Imperial Point since it opened in 2010. He is also an Interventional Pain Specialist at Anesco Interventional Pain Institute. Before Broward Health, Dr. Longo worked at Florida Medical Center and served as its Chief of Anesthesia. He also practiced pain medicine at the University of Miami Comprehensive Pain and Rehabilitation Centers.
Dr. Longo is a board certified anesthesiologist with subspecialty training in pain management. He completed his medical degree at the Ponce School of Medicine in Puerto Rico, and his residency in Anesthesiology as well as a fellowship in Pain Management at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. Dr. Longo is a Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology and fluent in both English and Spanish.
The position of Chief of Anesthesiology at Broward Health Imperial Point became available after Samir Ansara, MD retired in July of 2013.
