Healthcare Performance Companies CEO Named Power Leader in Healthcare

Lauderdale, Florida, September 12, 2013: Dr. Richard Meli, Healthcare Performance Companies’ Chief Executive Officer, was recently named as a Power Leader in Healthcare by South Florida Business Journal, August 2nd, 2013 edition. This is the 3rd straight year Dr. Meli has received this recognition.
Each year, the South Florida Business Journal honors individuals from a wide range of industries that are significantly impacting the South Florida business community. This is the 3rd year the newspaper has focused specifically on the healthcare industry, one of the largest employers in South Florida. Also named were five of Healthcare Performance’s hospital partners: Frank Nask, CEO of Broward Health, Calvin Glidwell, CEO of Broward Health Medical Center, Pauline Grant, CEO of Broward Health North, Drew Grossman, Broward Health Coral Springs, and Alice Taylor, CEO of Broward Health Imperial Point.
Dr. Meli is a board certified anesthesiologist, co-founder & CEO of Healthcare Performance Companies and a prominent entrepreneur. In 1998, he co-founded Anesco North Broward (ANB), a highly respected physician owned anesthesiology group serving Broward Health. Since then, under Dr. Meli’s leadership, the company has grown to include Healthcare Performance Strategies, an anesthesia/O.R. consulting company, and Healthcare Performance-Sleep, a sleep lab management company. Dr. Meli was formerly the Chief of Anesthesiology for North Ridge Medical Center in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He has been involved in numerous mergers and acquisitions within healthcare and other industries. He has a BS from Florida State University, and received his MD degree from the University of Miami.
